Pastor and First Lady

Pastor Hartwell has been Pastor of Verdunville Church of God for 20 1/2 years. The church undertook a massive building program under his leadership, but has recently paid off the loan! We were very excited to burn the note on October 28, 2007! Many souls have been fed under his preaching, as well as fed by him literally because of his vision for a benevolence ministry in Logan County. He organized the Appalachian Dream Center at Holden, WV and the First American Dream Center in Gallup, NM, where they clothe, feed and care for the less fortunate. Sister Darlene is a vital asset to our Pastor and their ministry. She is a Sunday School teacher and also speaks in other churches with the Pastor as they minister. They have four children - Mikie (Sarah) Hartwell, Beth (Walter) Hall, Golden Collins, and Darla (Tim) Mullins - and five grandchildren - Makayla, Jorden, Chance, Bradyn and Colin.
