Pastor’s Corner: Happy New Year! What a blessing God has brought upon us each already in this the year of our Lord 2008. On behalf of the Darlene and myself and the entire Church, i want to say how proud we are to be a part of a great congregation such as you each are. What a time we had this week, our speakers and singers did an outstanding job obeying the Holy Spirit. My prayer is that sometime in the near future I was wondering if we could have the evangelist back sometime for another series of meetings. A special thank you to all that braved the weather, and to the many that called and expressed interest in coming but were unable due to the weather and illness. Lets continue to pray for the many children and adults that are still battling the illness that winter has brought their way. Our team has done an awesome job of putting together the Bible online series: Reading the Bible Thru in a Year. I look forward each morning not to checking my email, but reading what God has for me in His mail - the Holy Bible. Just go to the homepage of Verdunville.com and choose the version of the Bible you wish to read. It will only take a few minutes of your time, and if you are like me, your computer is not far from you. For you that do not have internet, there are some copies of reading the bible thru in a year on the table outside. Thank each and everyone of you for your prayerful attendance and financial support of the ministries of Verdunville Church of God.
Attention VCOG Staff – Pastor Hartwell will be meeting with all those in leadership in a few weeks. He will be having individual meetings leading up to our annual Church Meeting.
Thank You - To all those who donated coats and monetary support in sending them to Gallup. You have truly touched lives and kept many warm and bundled. We will now be concentrating on sending gloves, hats and socks.
Welcome Brother Gray! – A special welcome to our morning and evening service speaker, Bro. Johnny Gray, our pastor’s mentor and favorite preacher! It is always a delight to have him with us here at Verdunville!
