Blaine Parsley

Blaine Eugene "Gene" Parsley, 50, of Chattaroy, WV,
went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 10,
2009, following a sudden illness. Death occurred at
St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV.
Born May 4, 1959, in South Williamson, KY, he was
the son of the late Blaine Parsley and Sylvia
Parsley of Chattaroy, WV.
Blaine was a former lab technician with Rawl Sales
and Processing and he was an ordained minister of
the Church of God. He was a member of the
Verdunville Church of God. Blaine was a loving
father, a wonderful brother and a cherished friend.
Blaine lived his life for Christ and he always tried
to leave a kind and uplifting word with everyone he
encountered. He was a pleasure to know and a joy to
be with. Blaine will be missed and loved always.
Blaine is survived by daughters, both of whom he
loved with all of his heart, Kari Elizabeth Parsley
and Victoria Faith Parsley of Williamson; two
brothers, Michael Parsley of Gray, Tenn., and Kevin
(JoAnna) Parsley of Chattaroy, WV; two sisters, Mary
Jane (Roger) Small of Chattaroy and Okie Parsley of
Chattaroy; his former wife, Kathy Ann Taylor Parsley
and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13,
2009, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Weaver Mortuary in West
Williamson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., on
Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at the mortuary.
Pastor Adam Hall, Pastor Michael Hartwell and Pastor
Chris Blevins will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Mountain View Memory
Gardens at Maher, WV. Pallbearers will include
Jeremy Small, Ritchie Foit, Danny Maynard, Rev. Mike
Bostic, John Tincher, Bobby Taylor, Austin Crum and
Jacob Parsley.
Weaver Mortuary of West Williamson is serving the
Parsley family.
